In this area a through knowledge of seeds, fertilizers, developing agricultural machinery , sufficent means of irrigation and agricultural technology gives rise to very high yield . Govind Ballabh Pant University of agriculture and Technology , Uttaranchal Tarai Beej Vikas Nigam have given multifold benefits to farmers .

Fields related to agriculture like animal rearing, milk production and horticulture find top priority in the district. Pantnagar University leads all the programmers  in above fields related to HRD, Agriculture Research, employment based trainings fisheries and Animal husbandry.
